Act I Scene I

Thunder and lightning.
Enter three WITCHES.

First Witch
1 When shall we three meet again?
2 In thunder, lightning, or in rain?

Second Witch
3 When the hurlyburly's done,
4 When the battle's lost and won.

Third Witch
5 That will be ere the set of sun.

First Witch
6 Where the place?

Second Witch
Upon the heath.

Third Witch
7 There to meet with Macbeth.

First Witch
8 I come, Graymalkin!

Second Witch
9 Paddock calls.

Third Witch
10 Anon.

ALL
11 Fair is foul, and foul is fair:
12 Hover through the fog and filthy air.

Exeunt.

Usually the finches hit on the thistle bag but I suspect they were up for a change today.

Finches 3

Some may find the following notes entertaining.

2 — In thunder, lightning, or in rain?: It was thought that witches could create their own weather.

3 — hurlyburly: tumult

5 — ere: before

8 — Graymalkin: a gray cat, the witch's familiar spirit

9 — Paddock: a toad, the witch's familiar spirit

10 — Anon: immediately (Apparently Third Witch is promising her familiar that she will answer its call right away.)

Memento May 2007 Revisited

The main reason I take pictures is because I am so memento, I forget. [The movie Memento was based on a short story Memento Mori written by Johnathan Nolan, the brother of the director of Memento, Christopher Nolan.]

So I decided to look at some pictures I took two years ago. By some strange process that I have already forgotten, I chose the May folder named, bdaymoonliliesplumsnakeflowers. According to my filing system all the snaps in the bdaymoonliliesplumsnakeflowers folder were taken in 05/05. And in this folder with the long name there are pictures of the moon ,and lilies, and Plum, and snakes, and flowers, but alas no bday pictures.

My birthday is in May.

And as I look at the pictures taken in May of 2005, of the moon ,and lilies, and Plum, and snakes, and flowers, but alas no bday pictures, I am a little bit unease. Things had progressed more in May of 2005 than they have this year, like something has been slowing down.

Here are a few pictures from the bdaymoonliliesplumsnakeflowers folder taken in May of 2005.

I just planted my tomato plants for 2007 but in 2005 it seems my tomato plants were already putting out buds.

It is hard to believe that these little yellow flowers are going to turn into big, red, juicy tomatoes.

Form vs. Function, Tomato Buds

Actually in 2005 there is evidence that some of the yellow tomato buds were already turning into little tomatoes.

This picture is named littletomatoew, note the e.

And although the, rhymes with, orange lilies are starting to bud this year. In 2005 the orange lilies were already in magnificent full bloom by this time.

I love lilies because they come back each year to see me.

Well at least two things remained the same.

Plum is out there,in one of her many hats, watering like a pro. It make me very proud.

Plum and I have different ways of watering.

And there are still snakes -

After a bit the snake just slithered away into the grass.

Now if you are ready for an adventure, a trip through time and space, put the word memento in the Search this Blog feature found on the top left of this page.

I almost forgot. Scroll down some after you search this blog for memento. You'll figure out why once you've done it.

Enchanted Garden

And I came upon a place most wondrous. To the trained eye there was evidence of adventure. Somewhat nether with dragons and gnomes and such.

These are my snapdragons from last year. Not sure what I did. All I know is that it is possible to keep snaps for several years.

And in a Snap the Dragon was Gone

And some spread their welcome wide.

This is the second year for this plant and it is doing exceptionally well.

Growing Big and Strong

Others were just beginning the climb up towards the sun.

And then a swirling, twirling, whirling, garland of orange and yellow to help celebrate the day.

I just learned that this vine can get to be 20' to 40' tall, help.

Crossvine

Or…

I took a couple of pictures today to help me remember how my yard looks in mid-May.

The first pictures captures the snapdragons in bloom and the new, Enchanted Garden sign that E recently purchased for the house.

The second picture is of a hosta or something that seems to have erupted from the ground with the strength of ten men.

This is the second year for this plant and it is doing exceptionally well.

The third picture shows the tomato plants that I started on Mother’s Day. I actually purchased the plants on Mother’s Day with my Mom and then planted them the next day.

Pictures four and five are of E’s crossvine. She started it last year and it didn’t do anything memorable. The crossvine is really on the boogie this year. I think it likes us.

KLMNO?

Well it’s not Ansel Adams or anyone like that but I really like this snap.

Nice view.

Who Gnu?

This photograph that I took yesterday on a beautiful Spring afternoon is very special to me. It’s from the inside looking out. It was taken through a window. Actually it was taken through a window in my bathroom. This is the view that I see when I take a pee. Yeah, it’s a dude thing.
